Contact Information:
For inquiries regarding this Network Management Policy, please reach out to Genie ISP at contact@genieisp.com or call 850-937-7700.

This Network Management Policy outlines how Genie ISP manages its network across different service plans: CDMA/V Genie Red, GSM/A Genie Blue, GSM/T Genie Pink, and Cable/X Genie Purple. Our practices are designed to ensure fair use of network resources, optimize service quality, and maintain the reliability of our internet services. By using Genie ISP services, you agree to the practices outlined in this policy, as well as those in our Terms and Conditions.

1. Network Management Practices

Genie ISP uses network management techniques to provide a stable and consistent internet experience for all customers. These practices are tailored to the specific type of service plan (CDMA, GSM, or Cable), and may include data prioritization, traffic monitoring, and congestion management.

  • Genie Red Plans: Red Plans operate off the CDMA/V network. Network management practices include traffic prioritization and may apply during times of network congestion. For more details on CDMA/V policies, visit here.

  • Genie Blue Plans: Blue Plans operate on the GSM/A network, which may include bandwidth management techniques, speed throttling, and deprioritization during times of network congestion. For more information, visit here.

  • Genie Pink Plans: Our Pink Plans run on the GSM/T network. Data prioritization and speed reduction may be applied during network congestion periods. You can view more details here.

  • Genie Purple Plans: Our Purple Plans operate off Cable/X infrastructure, where network management practices may include data usage caps, congestion management, and traffic shaping. More details can be found at here

2. Data Usage and Hard Caps

Each plan has specific data usage limits, which may affect your service once exceeded.

  • Data Caps: Some Genie ISP plans have hard data caps. Once you reach your data limit, your service will be suspended for the remainder of the billing cycle. Service will automatically resume at the start of the next billing cycle, or you may have the option to purchase additional data to restore service before the cycle resets.

  • Throttling and Data Deprioritization: Depending on your plan, if you exceed a set data limit, Genie ISP may reduce your internet speeds during periods of network congestion. Prepaid customers and those on specific plans may experience data deprioritization, which could result in slower speeds when the network is congested.

For more information on how data usage may affect your plan, please refer to our Terms and Conditions

3. Traffic Prioritization and Congestion Management

Genie ISP uses traffic prioritization and congestion management to maintain optimal network performance during peak usage times. Traffic that is time-sensitive, such as video streaming or voice calls, may be prioritized over less urgent activities like file downloads. Depending on the plan you are subscribed to, the network management policies of our partner providers may apply.

  • Genie Red Plans: These plans are powered by the CDMA/V network. The CDMA/V traffic prioritization and congestion management practices may impact your service during periods of high demand. For more details, visit here.

  • Blue Plans: Operating on GSM/A network, these plans may experience traffic prioritization and congestion management during peak usage periods. For further information on GSM/A policies, please refer to here.
    .

  • Genie Pink Plans: These plans utilize the GSM/T network, where traffic prioritization and congestion management may be applied during busy times. For GSM/T policy, visit here.
    .

  • Genie Purple Plans: Powered by Cable/X network, traffic prioritization and congestion management may occur during periods of high demand. More information can be found here.
    .

For more information on how congestion management may impact your service, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.
